Sam and Mary Rulli have made Middlebury their home for more than 20 years.

Sam began 33 years ago at his parents Marylou and Pasquales' restaurant, Pasquale Rulli's, in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Since then the family has grown into seven strong, all very proud of their heritage and the tradition of Rulli's restaurant.

The building at 120 N. Main Street was purchased in late 1975 and remodeling began for a restaurant and bar.  Coy Jankowsky, one of the original owners and designer of the restaurant, purchased a collection of antique stained glass windows in Nashville, In. The stained glass is all backlit to imitate the effects of sun shining through.  Other antique artifacts include a carousel horse and a pot belly stove. The Restaurant opened in July of 1976 by Coy Jankowsky, Tom Wilson, Bruce Tassell and Pat Tassell. Picture of original owners was taken for the 30th anniversary July 2006
